About Pi Kappa Alpha

The Alpha Kappa Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha was established in 1905 in Rolla, Missouri, and has remained faithful to its roots for over 115 years. Despite changes in the university's name, Alpha Kappa has excelled in athletics, scholarship, and service, making it one of the top Pike chapters nationwide. With approximately 120 members each year, Pi Kappa Alpha is one of the largest fraternities on campus. In its long history, Alpha Kappa has won the prestigious Robert Adger Smythe award 30 times.

Excellence in everything

Proudly striving to be the best fraternity on campus, Pi Kappa Alpha has achieved remarkable success. They have been all-campus intramural champions for 23 out of the past 25 years, and their members include varsity and club athletes from various sports. The fraternity consistently maintains a GPA above the all-men and all-Greek averages. Their chapter house, built in 2000 and renovated in 2007, provides comfortable living space for 104 members. Participation in multiple campus organizations is highly encouraged among the members.

"For the establishment of friendship on a firmer and more lasting basis; for the promotion of brotherly love and kind feeling; for the mutual benefit and advancement of the interests of those with whom we sympathize and deem worthy of our regard; We have resolved to form a fraternity, believing that, thus we can most successfully accomplish our object."
